Week 1 Done and Forgotten

It's hard to believe - I've actually completed the first week of what will ultimately become six weeks of radiation therapy.  I seriously didn't think that I would make it, but alas I did... now I only have five more weeks to go - and this includes the last four weeks of school!  There's more to write about... but right now, exhaustion is taking its toll, so I think I'll go lie down for a little while.

A New Store

It's been a while since I've written.... many things have happened in my life. But there has been a new event in my life that I believe to be a positive move forward. I've just associated myself with a new business and I want to share that with you now. Please check out the link to the River City General Merchantile. There I believe that you will find may wonderful gift ideas for your personal care as well as for your home, family and friends. I'm excited about this new adventure and I hope that you will be as excited as I am once you've had a chance to wander through the store!

Peace,
Carol

Day to Day Business

Well, here we are on a Monday morning - getting ready to take one kid to school, take myself to work AND try to keep tabs on the family doctor as my husband has just developed not one, but seven small stasis ulcers on his left leg. ughhhhh!!!!

What is so disheartening about this particular development is that we thought that he was healed from the last bout, and now he has seven new ones that just seemed to develop over night! I guess that is what happens when one has CHF and has basically allowed themselves to go down-hill health wise.

This brings me to a good point - Jesus told us that our bodies are God's temple... it is the only one that we'll ever receive, and it is up to maintain them. Remember that when you want to dismiss that "little ache or pain" as not being important. Care for your self. YOU are the only one who can!

Make yourself at home....

Welcome to my place!

I've finally had a chance to add some things to my front door that I hope will be of interest to visitors. I am a life professed member of the Society of St. Francis, Third Order so I wanted to share that with people; of course sites that are related to Francis are interesting to me, so I thought that I'd share them with you as well. I've also included my favorite sites that I go to when I'm looking for a place to sit and meditate and comptemplate. The St. Clare Mission has a wonderful site for the daily office (daily prayers) Eventually, I hope to add other links that I've found interesting over the course of 14+ years that I've been "surfing the web", and I hope that you also find them to be as interesting as I have. Well, it's late... I just got off of work at the county jail, and it's time to get to bed. So I'll say good night and talk to y'all later!

Blessings & Peace,
Carol
